Tell your State Legislators its time to get serious about making Florida a Pro-Veteran State - Adopt the Armed Forces Observance Protection Act this session!
All around our great State and around the Nation, Veterans Observances have come under attack and have been used by vandals as billboards for social protest.
Tell your State Legislators this has to STOP. They must do their part by protecting Veterans Observances in Florida.

April 11, 2016 - Veterans killed since 9/11 were dishonored as the statute to Operation Enduring Freedom at the Veterans Memorial Park in Gainesville at Kanapaha Park was desecrated.
Disappointing....

JACKSONVILLE
July 4, 2015 - The statue of the namesake of Jacksonville, Andrew Jackson, resting in downtown near The Jacksonville Landing, was the target of vandalism twice in 2015. On July 4, large orange letters spelling "Black Lives Matter" and "Justice 4 D" were painted at the base of the statue.

OCALA
October 15, 2015 - Two times in one week the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park was vandalized. Flag poles were bent to the ground in one incident, and this photo shows the destruction of two eagle statues at the entrance to the park.
Deplorable...
